Frequently asked questions

Questions owners actually ask

Who actually does the work?

A person. One person, assigned to your account, who learns how you talk and answers under your name. Drafts are AI-assisted and human-checked before anything is sent, and anything sensitive comes to you for approval first. You are not buying software you have to run.

What happens in week one?

Twenty minutes on the phone with you — we connect your job system, your phone line, and your Google Business Profile on the call. Then we work backwards through the reviews nobody answered, oldest gap first, and clean up your listing while we are in there. By day seven every review on your profile has a reply and the first requests are going out.

Do I have to change my software?

No. We connect to what you already run — ServiceTitan, Jobber, Housecall Pro, Workiz, AccuLynx, or plain QuickBooks invoices — on the setup call, and completed jobs reach us on their own from then on. Nothing installs on your machines, nothing sits between you and your customers, and nobody on your crew learns a new screen. Paper shop? Your tech texts a photo of the work order and we take it from there.

What about bad reviews?

We answer them, carefully, usually within a business day. When one is serious enough that a public reply could make it worse, it comes to you before anything is posted. We never filter or gate reviews by sentiment. That is against Google policy and against the FTC review rule.

Can I really cancel by text?

Yes. Text the number you have been texting all along and say you are done. There is no notice period, no offboarding call, and no retention specialist. Your last month runs out the way it always would and nothing renews. We would rather earn month thirteen than lock you into it.

Is this compliant with Google and the FTC?

Yes. Every customer gets asked, the same way, whatever we think they are going to say. Nobody is screened out for looking likely to leave a low rating. The FTC rule at 16 CFR Part 465 makes review gating illegal and Google policy bans it as well. Compliance here is the method, not a setting.

What do you need from me?

Twenty minutes at setup: we agree how you sound and who signs off on sensitive replies, and we connect your job system and your phone line while we are on the call. After that, the only thing you do is finish jobs. We keep three things per job — the customer’s first name, their mobile number, and that the work is done — and nothing else.

What does the guarantee actually cover?

Your first thirty days, in full. If Kingpost has not earned its keep by day 30, say so and you get the month back — no forms, no argument. After that the protection is the no-contract itself: cancel by text any month and nothing renews. What we do not guarantee is a review count, because nobody can honestly promise that.
